Introducing Dueflo: Automated Invoice Collection for QuickBooks
We built Dueflo because we were tired of chasing payments. Today we're launching — here's what it does, how it works, and what's coming next.
Every business owner knows the feeling: you delivered great work, sent the invoice, and now you're waiting. Days turn into weeks. You send a polite reminder. You wait some more. You send another one, a little firmer. The relationship starts to feel awkward. And you haven't done anything wrong — you just want to get paid for work you already did.
We built Dueflo because this problem is completely solvable, and almost nobody has solved it well for small businesses.
The Problem We're Solving
QuickBooks Online tracks every overdue invoice in your AR aging report. You can see exactly who owes you, how much, and for how long. But collecting it? That's entirely on you.
The typical small business workflow:
- 1 reminder email (manually written)
- 1 follow-up call (if you remember)
- Give up or escalate to a collections firm (at 25–40% of the invoice)
This is a terrible default. Most late payments aren't disputes — they're clients who forgot, deprioritized, or just need one more nudge. A systematic, professional follow-up sequence recovers the vast majority of these.
What Dueflo Does
Dueflo connects to your QuickBooks Online account and runs a 6-step automated collection sequence for every overdue invoice — using both email and SMS to maximize your chances of getting paid.
Step 1: Connect QBO — OAuth connection, read-only access. We never modify your QuickBooks data.
Step 2: Invoices sync automatically — Every day, we pull your AR aging data. Any invoice past due by 3+ days enters a collection sequence.
Step 3: AI writes every message — Each email and SMS is written by Claude (Anthropic's AI) specifically for that invoice: your business name, the client's name, the exact amount, the number of days overdue, the right escalating tone. Never a template.
Step 4: Messages send on schedule — Emails go out at optimized times. On Professional and Business plans, SMS reminders hit at steps 3 and 5 — the points where email response rates plateau. TCPA-compliant: 8am–9pm local time only, STOP opt-out in every message.
Step 5: Auto-stop on payment — When QBO marks the invoice paid, the entire sequence stops immediately. No over-messaging, no awkward "sorry, didn't know you'd paid" texts.
Step 6: You see everything — Opens, clicks, SMS delivery status, sequence step, amount recovered — all in your dashboard. Edit a client's phone or email directly from the invoice row.
